Just in time for Christmas, DRT YRT’s The Chicago Manual of Sound, their fourth record in as many years, is on its way. This record has the guys pushing the tempo up a notch. During Christmastime 2010, some ideas and tracks were recorded in snowy Chicago. This time around, a psychedelic SantaCon experience downtown was the scene for the album cover photos. As is typical of DRT YRT experiments, the album recording actually began at the compound in Mendocino in the spring of 2010.

I’m excited to present my latest mixtape (that I’ve been sitting on for a minute) here for you to download. I called it the 27 mixtape. Its a Chicago / House / Dirtybird inspired mix of tunes I’ve been jammin to recently. There are a lot of edits on this mix. Enjoy!
